Global crypto exchange Cryptopia has hired former Microsoft CMO Raj Wadhera off the back off a solid growth surge, which has seen the company lift its worldwide user base by 116 per cent since December 2017.
Founded in 2014, the Cryptopia Exchange is host to what it says is the world’s largest range of cryptocurrencies.
The New Zealand-based company has more than 2 million users and attributes its accelerated growth to a number of improvements such as a refreshed website, faster response times, improved customer support processes and enhanced service deliveries.
Cryptopia has also increased its headcount by 389 per cent in nine months, now home to 90 employees.
Cryptopia appointed Wadhera to sales and marketing director to lead the company into the next stage of growth and user experience.
Wadhera brings more than 20 years of experience in product, sales and marketing to his new role.
Prior to his most recent position as director of marketing, communications and digital transformation at the Middlemore Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand, Wadhera was the chief marketing officer for Microsoft’s New Zealand operations.
“I am thrilled to welcome Raj to Cryptopia,” said Cryptopia CEO Alan Booth.
“He joins at a pivotal time as we experience accelerated business growth.
“With his proven track record developing a world-class experience, he is a welcome addition to our talent team who are delivering high-performing and highly secure services to our users around the world.”
